What is LightScribe technology?
LightScribe is a new technology that allows you to create a permanent label of text or graphics on the top side of your CDs and DVDs without the need for messy inks or sticky labels.

How does it work?
The LightScribe method uses the laser similar to the way that data is burned to the disk; a greyscale image of the label is burnt to the top side of the disk. Currently the disks are monotone, but there may be coloured disks available in the future.
What do I need?
What do I need?
In order to utilise this fantastic new technology, you must have a LightScribe compliant CD/DVD writer and the relevant LightScribe CD and DVD media.
How do I do it?
How do I do it?
Sounds complicated? Not at all! We have provided a simple to follow step-by-step guide to show you just how achievable these amazing effects are:
1.Burn your LightScribe CD/DVD in the normal way
2.Turn the disk over
3.Load up the label software (With HP drives this is a separate disk - with other drives it is incorporated within Nero)
4.You will be presented with a simple to use art package
5.Create your label using the software, which can include photographic images, text and clip art
6.Click on print
7.You will then have the option to select the required resolution (the highest resolution will give you the best image quality but takes around 28 minutes to create)
8.Once completed, remove the disk
That's it!
